February is LGBT+ History Month and is an important time of the year to celebrate the achievements of LGBT+ activists and role models around the world. LGBT+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans with the '+' referring to individuals such as asexuals who are not included within the acronym. Historically, the rights of this group of people have been suppressed and it's significant to see how far we've come but also how far we still have to go to achieve equality.
