Homework
Homework is set and must be handed in on the set deadline
If submitted on time- You will receive feedback to help your assignment.
If not submitted on time- You will receive no feedback and will have to attempt your assignment without proper guidance.
Assignments
Assignments must be completed in the set format (you should not simply submit your improved homework) and submitted by the deadline.
How to submit your assignment:
- Print off a paper copy of your work, in colour, to hand in at the start of your lesson.
- Upload your work to the area for that particular assignment on Godalming Online.
Your assignment will not be marked until you have uploaded your assignment.
If submitted on time- You will have your work marked and graded and will be granted a resubmission if necessary.
If not submitted on time- You will have no further feedback on this work. You must submit the assignment by the resubmission deadline to receive a grade.
Resubmissions
If granted a resubmission you must use the guidance given to improve your assignment one final time. This must be submitted by the deadline to receive your final grade.
How to submit your resubmission:
- 1. Print off a paper copy of your work, in colour, to hand in at the start of your lesson. Hand in any original feedback you were provided with.
- Upload your work to the area for that particular assignment on Godalming Online.
Your resubmission will not be marked until you have uploaded your assignment.
If submitted on time- Your work will be graded and you will hopefully have improved on your assignment attempt. This will give you your final grade for the assignment.
If not submitted on time- Your grade will not improve from that of your assignment. If you have not submitted your assignment or resubmission on time then your assignment will be marked ‘Unclassified’ and you may not be able to achieve the qualification.
Plagiarism
- You must complete work that is 100% your own.
- You can use resources but must interpret the information and put it into your own words.
- When you are using a source (for information or a picture) this should be added to your Bibliography.
- Direct quotes can only be used for a definition and must be properly referenced.
- Your assignments and resubmissions are uploaded to Turnitin, a plagiarism service that will detect the originality of your work.
- Each piece of work is looked at individually to see where there is similarity, but no piece of work should have higher than 20% similarity.
- Where there is similarity, this must be from numerous sources and well spread throughout the document, not concentrated all to one or several specific sections.
- You sign an authentication document to say that all work submitted is your own, if this is not the case you will have a meeting with your Senior Tutor and may be removed from the qualification.
