Born in 1970, Wayne McGregor is a multi award winning British choreographer and director, internationally renowned for trailblazing innovations in performance that have radically redefined dance in the modern era. In this video you see McGregor talking through his process working alongside 2 dancers. 

Chroma - Wayne Mcgregor

In 2006, the premiere of Wayne McGregor’s Chroma felt like a radical incursion on to the Royal Ballet stage with its hot, howling score, its cool minimalist set and combatively off-kilter dancing. Now the ballet is regarded as a modern classic.

An interesting piece to watch- interesting shapes, solos and group ensemble.

Brilliant opening and ending...something interesting and different. Really good use of formations and shapes. Great musicality.

This is a great piece to analyse movement content. Brilliant use of music to inspire movement !

Technically very strong

An emotional piece that demonstrates outstanding solo work. Very cleverly in the round.
