  • How to turn editing on (to edit a course page):

    • Either click Turn editing on (top-right of page) or in the Administration block on the left of the page.
    • If you think you should be able to edit a page but cannot, please contact Steve Law (moodle@godalming.ac.uk) so that he can change your permissions.
  • What do the editing icons mean?

    	Edit settings
    	Move - you should be able to drag and drop an resource, activity or topic if you see this symbol
    	Visible - toggle to hide
    	Hidden - toggle to show
    	Highlight topic - only one topic can be highlighted on a course page
    	Duplicate - a really useful tool, use it to duplicate a folder, assignment or other activity
    	Indent to right
    	Edit title - if you see this symbol you will be able to edit the text that appears on the course page.  Click the symbol, edit the text and then press enter.

    Use drag and drop to add an image and document to a course page

    Use can use drag and drop to very quickly add files to a course page or folder.  To use drag and drop you will need to be using a compatible internet browser, for example Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 11.

    Create a folder and add files to it Page

    Folders can appear either on a separate page or inline on a course page.  You can add more files to a folder at any time. Folders can contain other folders, if you have a folder structure that you like you can duplicate it.

    Link to other web pages.

    Add a label to a course page

    Labels can be used to add text, links, images etc to your course page.

    Use the duplicate feature Page

    A NEW FEATURE - allows you to duplicate any resource on your course page, particularly useful for duplicating labels and folder structures

    Much easier that old GoL - you can just drag items around a course page.
