  • It's time to build up your Cultural Cachet. The admissions tutor from Central Drama School often talks to us about the lack of cultural reference points for many young practitioners.

    Linking to the demands of HE establishments, it's time for you to build up your Cultural Cachet.

    1. Read a BROADSHEET newspaper at least 3 times a week: These are available in the library, or on-line versions are linked below. The world is bigger than any of our experiences, and a step forward in understanding that is to read a broadsheet newspaper.
    2. Read NOVELS (non-curricular) for pleasure: Of course the ILC should be a port of call, also visit the college reading club (GOD On-line)
    3. Visits to ART EXHIBITIONS, cultural events: Often art exhibitions are free, and you will find many London based cultural events (again often free) listed in TIME OUT MAGAZINE.
    4. VISITS to mature theatre/dance/performance art: We aim throughout the year to handpick productions that we feel will inspire you, introduce you to new performance forms and expand your performance knowledge and experience. We will post details below:
