Aim: Explore patterns and mark making
Task: Complete 8x patterned strips
Task 1. Complete this activity - Fill the A4 template of strips with a broad range of patterns and mark making, using black fine liner only (do not use a sharpie or thick marker). When complete, please scan and save to your user area. You are to make photocopies of your A4 sheet of patterned strips (ask technician for assistance), photocopied on to a range of neutral coloured papers e.g. white cartridge, cream cartridge, grey sugar, brown packaging, tracing paper. Task 2. Continue and complete activity started in first lesson – You have been provided with a range of A6 size papers + laser cut stencil of your initials + A6 piece of carbon paper. Create 8x (black, white and grey) designs of patterns and mark making using your laser cut stencil. Please use a range of mediums and techniques: pens, pencils, graphite, ink, acrylic paint – equipment is available in the department. (See below for examples)
