We will be entering a team of 6 for this 'Egg Race' style challenge on Tuesday, 22nd February. Some of you may have taken part before at your previous school. This year, the first heat is due to be held at George Abbot (Covid permitting), and we intend to take a College minibus, leaving at about 3.30 p.m., returning by approximately 7.00 p.m. All good fun and useful to put on your UCAS personal statement, this activity would particularly suit anyone who has done, or is doing the +Explore Engineering course Please sign up here if you would like to join the team.

Each year is a different challenge. You have to build a contraption using material supplied, e.g. corriflute, paper card, dowels, marbles, etc. to perform to a certain brief. This is then judged and awarded points according to different criteria. Requires good team working skills rather than detailed Engineering knowledge. Team size limited to a maximum of six, so need to sign up soon if interested.
