In this week's lessons, Joe went through the NEA process and discussed the sort of the projects that work well, e.g. simulations (trading game, economic modelling using world bank data, population/disease spread), games (e.g. connect4) with an AI/computer player, machine learning/AI (e.g. image recognition), route-finder, time-tabler, equipment-allocator, business/e-commerce system, and more. Ideally you should choose a project in an area of interest to you, as you will devoting significant time and effort to the NEA next year. If you have a part-time job, or your parents/relatives run a business, or work in an area of interest, you could interview them and between you devise a software application that would be useful for that business.

You have until Friday to propose project ideas. You should download the project proposal form available here: NEA Project proposal Form and upload a form per idea here: Project Proposal Submission Area by 4:30pm on Friday. We will then review your proposals and give you feedback as to their suitability.
Message me in Teams if you have any questions on the above.
