In pairs, look at a few pages from the text and feedback on the GOL Glossary under A Handful of Dust on the following:
i) a brief summary of the section in a few sentences
ii) six examples in the form of direct quotations from the text together with an accompanying explanation that illuminate aspects of the different coursework questions:
- The way women are presented
- Anything connected with a journey
- How the city might be presented
- How disintegration is presented
- How language and other forms of communication often mask real feelings or intent
