Introduction to IssacPhysics
IssacPhysics is a completely free resource, from the University of Cambridge, to help A-level Students. It has many different problems and notes to help explain topics.
We will sometimes use this to set homework.
Signing Up
For you to receive these, you will need to create an account:
- Go to isaacphysics.org and click on ‘Login’ ;
- On the next page select ‘Sign up’;
- Enter your details, using your College email;
- Select ‘Register Now’.
Connect to Teacher
When you have registered you will be brought to ‘My Account Settings’ page. You can fill this out when you like, but before you leave this page you need to connect your account with your teachers. To do this:
- Click on the ‘Teacher connection’ tab;
- Where it asks you to enter a code, use the one below which corresponds to your class code:
- 4;PHB;A1 - ZZTPRY
- 4;PHB;C1 - KLVP4Z
- 4;PHB;E1 - EZC99U
- 4;PHB;G1 - YVG9BZ
- Click ‘Connect’ and then ‘Confirm’;
- ‘Granted access’ should appear on your screen if successful.
View Assignment
You should now be logged in and connected with your class code. This means you will now receive assignments we set. To see these:
- Click on ‘Menu’ and a menu should drop down;
- Directly below this you will see a link ‘My Assignments’;
A yellow badge will appear there with the number of assignments set in the centre. - Click on this link. On this page you will see three tabs. Click on ‘Assignments To Do’ if you’re not here automatically. This will show you assignments which have been set;
- If you click on ‘View Assignment’ it will take you to a page with a number of Hexagons. You must complete all of these to finish the assignment;
- Click on one and complete the questions.
