Your vocal control and articulation are what I dream of and really felt added to the performance as it really suited your character as they are more regal so they must be well-spoken. I wish you might have used the space a bit more because there were moments when you could have broken out from being stagnant and it would have felt natural. But I loved watching it on the monologue on the monitors and I can't get enough of your vocal clarity. (CVDB)
Your articulation and diction were clear and concise however I felt that the performance was a bit static aside from the start and end. (CL)
EC:
Your use of sociolect was very effective in portraying the character and your articulation was always clear. You used a variety of volume and the opening was very impactful.
You held a lot of vocal and physical energy at the beginning, but try to sustain this throughout the whole monologue. Maybe consider using the space and proxemics.
Your projection was massively improved compared to our rehearsals and your articulation was very clear. Your facial expressions was very good and you adapted the character well. Try to consider the space more and make sure that you held energy throughout the performance. (NY)
Your use of facial expressions and intense tone really conveyed the tension in the performance. Your vocals as a whole were solid: you had dynamic use of volume and the tremor in your voice really conveyed the anger of your character. The articulation of your vocals was clear but there were points where your projection faltered and I couldn't tell what was being said. The moments that included Nil were where you showed good physicality, however the rest of the performance felt rather static, there was a lack of movement or gestures, which allowed us to focus on your impressive vocals but wasn't very visually interesting. Great performance overall, embraced character very well. Your communication with the audience and the use of staging was fantastic. Also I really liked the way you reacted to your partners physical actions. The main skill I think you should work on is projection. This can be helped by finding resistance areas or getting someone to stand at the other end of the room. (RC)
Your characterization through voice enhanced your character and gave your monologue a sense of truth. It was very believable and also gave the audience an insight into the time frame around the monologue. (SMG)
