As we have had the change the mock exam provision... and all the other changes I have been asked to change what I had planned for the next bench mark window!
You will have 3 elements of assessment:
1) Paper1 style test (~1hr) Year 1 content + Circular motion + SHM.. (first year content will include 1 wave question and 1 electricity question + 1 mystery question)
2) Paper2 style test (~1hr) Fields, Capacitance, Thermal + nuclear (expect 1 question on each topic)
3) MCQs (~1hr) question from every topic will be included
P1 and P2 will be free hand answers (so NOT the fancy calculated question quizzes) BUT still administered and uploaded to GoL. you will need to be able to photo or scan your answers for each question. you will be given time to do the scan and upload.
Like the last benchmark different classes will get slightly different tests... some questions the same and some different.. although there will be the same topics covered for all students.
THIS IS NOT A FINAL ASSESSMENT FOR CALCULATING GRADES.. but it will form a valuable data point for us and for your to assess your progress. there is VERY likely to be some form of final assessment set by an exam body. We don't yet know how this will work.
Paper 1 will take place in the following Physics lesson in the week beginning 22nd Feb: C Monday 22nd, E and G Tuesday 23rd and D Wednesday 24th
Paper 2 will Take place on the following dates E: Wednesday 24th, D: Thursday 25th Feb, G and C Friday 26th
The multi-Choice paper will take place in your prac lesson on week beginning 1st March....
I'm sorry for the change in plan, but we wanted to create another opportunity for you to show what you can do in a fair and structured way.
We won't be setting a chunk of assesses exam quesrtions over half term BUT we will suggesting a set of key revision questions to help you prep for the Benchmark assessments.
